I have had MineCraft for Windows 10 for about 2 weeks and I have been trying to join a server for like a week of the 2 weeks. When I try to join a server nothing happens. I put a name and add Ip and add port and when I click add the screen closes and shows nothing in the box. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
Please open the launcher and select "Edit Profile." Set "Launcher visibility" to "Keep the launcher open" and press "Save."
Press the "Play" button and when Minecraft launches, go and try to add a server. If the error persists, go to the launcher and open the "Launcher log" tab and right click it, and select "Copy All Text." This will copy everything and copy it to your clipboard. Go to https://gist.github.com/ and paste the text into the big box. Afterwards, select "Create Secret Gist" and give us the URL to which it redirects you.
Do the same for the "Game output" tab.
Some additional information that would be useful:
Has Minecraft worked before? If so, when and do you know what you did to make it stop working?
Ok when I posted this I was trying to use the Windows 10 game. Since then someone suggested I try the older 1.8.8 version. I can not even get into Minecraft with it at all. First off it wants me to use the Demo and when I try to use the Demo it tells me my drivers are not up to date and every one (including Intel) says they are the latest. I did as you asked and gave you the logs off of the 1.8.8 version. No I have not been able to play on the PC yet I was trying to switch to the PC version due to the fact that my Xbox (once again) has broke down. It won't even boot up anymore.
