I'm running minecraft 1.8.1 on my 2013 Macbook Pro (OSX Yosemite), and I am having difficulty getting a resource pack to appear on the menu where you can select which resource pack you want. It's an old one called BroPaint, and I think its 128x128. I think i'm supposed to use something like MC patcher to enable the resource pack, but since I'm a total noob, I have been unable to do this. Can anyone help me out?

Hi,
Make sure that the resource pack that you're trying to use is actually a resource pack and not a texture pack; the two are not compatible.
From what I'm seeing, the author of BroPaint hasn't updated to a resource pack, which is why you aren't able to load it into Minecraft.
