I've had an issue with minecraft for a long while now, everytime I go to run the game I receive the out of memory crash.
I've done literally everything, completely removed all java, all minecraft, etc.
I've allocated 8GB to the game, and it still won't work.
Here is my crash log.

Do you have Razer Synapse installed? That program is known to add the bolded argument globally. Uninstall it to resolve this.
If not, you may want to check into the Environment Variables (Right click on Start Button > System > Advanced system settings) and see if you have an entry named "_JAVA_OPTIONS", and if so, remove said entry.

Brilliant! It was an Environment Variable! Thanks so much Cestis! I haven't been able to play in months!
