I haven't played minecraft in a while, after pressing play the game output comes up blank. It allows me to press play again, the download bar fills and the game output remains blank. I have re-downloaded minecraft and java, I have checked in the launcher log where i though the problem was the pathing. After half a hour of looking for solutions to fix the pathing and looking at this (How to set Java paths) i think i fixed the problem to only find it still remains.
The launcher says,"Cannot run program "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" (in directory "C:\Users\kids\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft"): CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_51]"
Click on "Edit Profile", is "Executable" ticked? And if so, what does the field say? Untick it, and it should try to detect a valid installation of Java.
