Hi im on Win10. I formatted my pc a few days ago and downloaded MC. When I launch it, I get folders "runtime" and "game" and file "nativelog.txt". How do I get rid of this? This didn't happen before the format. Thanks for your help.
Is the mojang community working a way to fix this or not
You likely download and installed with the .exe version of the installer. Download and reinstall minecraft with the .msi installer. All those folders will be hidden away in program files for you.

Retired StaffThose folders are created to house the packaged Java runtime and some of the game's files. They're normal with the new launcher behavior.

Retired StaffIt is intended behavior there is nothing to fix.

or put the exe where you want the files to live, and make a shortcut to it to place on your desktop
That's clever.
