I have made a many modpacks and none have had this problem. My friend will join the server and randomly crash sometimes on join and sometimes 30 mins in. Me and another friend who also play on my server have never crashed once. I asked my friend who crashes to look at the crash-reports, he responded by saying "there are none". I know there isn't much to go off of here because of no crash reports but if anyone could help that would be great. I thought maybe he could download a different version of Java, or its just something his computer does. Anyway thanks in advance for your help!
And its not like the game wont start at all. He is able to play for long periods of time then it will crash and sometimes it crashes on server join. But no one else has this problem

Then why dont I crash if we have the exact same mods and config files??
I use the technic launcher to launch all of my modpack so each update everyone gets the same thing
