There are several people in my house that like to play together, and they all want to use mods. the problem is, its rough being the only person that knows how to set them up copying mods to (potentially) 6+ computers every time they want to add a new one.
i was thinking of setting up a dropbox and having everyone run their minecraft off it, so when they want a new mod, i do it once and they all run directly off this. the problem is that (i think) when files are edited/used it would try to reupload and redownload files constantly (if my understanding of the program is correct) meaning this wouldnt work as is.
the only workaround i think of would be to make a program that would copy the dropbox stuff onto your computer; so instead of just modifying files, i would have to also tell them all to run their copy program.... but im not quite tech-savy enough to make something like that.
so the question being, what would be the easiest way to do so?
Clarify (just in case) would it be possible to have a program that would sit in the root of a dropbox, and when ran would copy files out of the dropbox into a minecraft install, letting everyone else copy my mods without my assistance.
