So I was trying to log into my minecraft account but for some reason my password wasn't working i tried the password reset option but it said my account didn't exist WHAT DO I DO
So each time you forget your password, you are better off just repurchasing the game on a new account for $26.95 instead of contacting Mojang support? It must be nice having such a large disposable income where you can just waste money like that.
If you mean a new ACCOUNT. No. You can't just go and throw away another 20 dollars just because you forgot your password. Some people barely have 50 cents and you go around buying MC accounts each time you forget your password, also taking up usernames, even though there are alot of them.
That's my point!!!

When he posts his topic, he expects help. Nobody responds.
He says maybe buy a new one.
Except people did respond, as a matter of fact the very first response to this topic was someone suggesting to him that he should contact Mojang Support about his missing account - which is a lot more helpful than the response that suggested he should waste 26.95$ on buying a new account.
Also, people need to quit trying to make us out as being the "big bad wolf" that is angry at the OP for posting in the wrong section. People are actually being really docile in the way they are telling him, nobody here has called him an "idiot" or any insult of the sorts for posting in the wrong section. It isn't unreasonable to ask someone to post in the right section, especially when the OP could have gotten better answers in that section than in this one.
EDIT: Also, don't put words into our mouths that we didn't say. Nobody here said to buy a million accounts at 26$ a piece, I was making a point that it is stupid to buy an account each time you forget your password.

I'd just like o say I wasn't specifically targeting these people, it's just that it happens all the time. And when it's a first-time poster, it's nothing short of ridiculous to expect them to know how these forums work. Also, while most people were indeed docile and polite and trying to help, some were not. It's just a problem, in my point of view
Never saw him posting about another account he forgets password off....
TheNoobPerson posted that he should make a new account in response to the OP forgetting his password and possibly his account all together. All advice is derived from people asking themselves "what would I do in their situation". Chances are, if that is what TheNoobPerson suggested then that is what he would do if he ended up in the same situation as the OP.
Maybe for us this doesn't really look like figths but for someone who lost a MC account, it maybe does
You are just making assumptions on how the OP feels to all these responses; maybe for one person the responses on this topic might offend them, but not for another person. I can understand your good intentions, but we shouldn't have to worry about how the OP feels about our posts if our intent was not meant to offend.

We can still point him out in the right direction so he doesn't get caught up in this sort of mess again, like you said some people aren't polite in how they respond to misplaced threads and that isn't acceptable. Honestly though, I don't see any of the current responses as being aggressive towards the OP.

Alright now I'm satisfied you get where I'm coming from. And I see the ones that simply say "wrong section" as unhelpful. Not rude, mind you, but not helpful either. But yeah, you're right about what you're saying too, it's definitely a good thing to help some one and tell them what section they're most likely to get good, helpful responses in.

Retired StaffIt's still a waste of money to give up that easily and buy a new one.
If you don't want to waste $26 dollars on a Mojang account, I'd call the customer support.

GOT this advice from Kitty Moderator
Try what Infernal_Dragon said, if you still have a problem. If Mojang Support can't help either, I'm sorry!

A flame war would contain nothing but personal attacks as opposed to actual discussion of the topic.
