Archimedes ships plus crashing when attempting to mount ship

I've installed the archimedes plus mod for 1.8, but whenever I assemble the ship and mount it, my game freezes and I have to close it. Does anyone know what I can do to stop the crashing?

I should have been more specific. When I mount the ship, the game freezes such that I have to close minecraft, and therefore, no crash report is made.
