This is my first attempt at posting a help thread anywhere so if I lack information please inform me. I finished my new computer build recently (I'll call this one PC A) and wanted to play over LAN with my second computer (PC B ) however after installing minecraft and then overwriting it with my modded client it is somewhat playable but after roughly a minute or less fps drops to 0. As far as I'm aware my PC A should be able to run the client fine as its predecessor is decades outdated (Neither PC A or B). PC A can host minecraft and open to lan to have PC B join and PC B has initial download lag that clears after 10-20 seconds or so, then gameplay is smooth and crisp mobs move take damage and everything instantly. PC A however has 0 fps some spikes to 10ish for a second or less. I've installed optifine on PC A this is unconfirmed to have any real effect other than maybe allowing it to take longer to drop to 0 fps.
I have updated the following:
Mother Board
GPU
Windows
Java
New computer components(Problem computer):
OS: Windows 7 Professional
CPU: AMD FX 9590 8-core 4.74 GHz
Mother Board: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
Memory (RAM): G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 32GB DDR3 2400
GPU: EVGA GTX 970
SSD: AMD Radeon R7 240GB
Second computer (works perfectly fine):
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: AMD FX 8350 8-core 4.00 GHz
Mother Board: ASUS (something, i forget. Can obtain if this is really crucial)
Memory (RAM): Corsair Dominator 16GB DDR3 1600
GPU: EVGA GTX 770 Classified
HDD(OS on): Seagate barracuda 1TB
SSD: Samsung 840 series 120GB
I can upload screenshots from both computers if requested.
