Hi guys. I have watched tutorials where you can use shaders and optifine together. I installed shaders to an optifine profile (I also tried with forge), I opened the game and there was no text on my buttons. I thought it was just a glitch I tried joining my server and it didn't only not join it froze my game. I then ran shaders without optifine and it worked perfectly except I was lagging. I am very dependent on optifine. Please, if there is anything you can do to help, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Install Forge, then drop both Optifine and the shaders mod in the mods folder, just like any other mod. Also make sure you're using Optifine D1 if you're using 1.8.0. The shaders mod isn't compatible with D2 or above.
What GPU do you have? If you lag without Optifine, or even get less-than-good FPS (I'm talking < 100 FPS) with Optifine installed, you may not be able to run shaders smoothly, at all even. Shaders require a powerful graphics card to run, it's generally recommended to only install shaders if you get > 100 FPS in vanilla without Optifine with settings on normal or above. Otherwise you'll be playing an interactive slideshow.
