So I've been playing some Minecraft on a newly built computer, and every 30 seconds or so my 500 FPS drops to around 10. I've got an Intel Core i7 4790k and a GTX 970 with 3GB of RAM allocated to Minecraft. I have no clue why I'm lagging.
allocate less ram, you shouldn't need to allocate more than the default unless you are using resource packs/mods
