I'm new to minecraft and mods but I usually catch on to this stuff pretty quickly so please take it sorta easy on me
I recently tried to download this shaders mod so that I could start using shaders. I keep opening the minecraft launcher and then clicking play (on the forge profile) and it starts to load like forge normally does but then it crashes towards the end. I tried setting up my computer to use the nvidia graphics cards with minecraft instead of the intel one and I'm nearly postitive it worked because I double checked everything and did extra stuff to make sure but in the crash log it still mentions intel hd graphics. I'm not sure what to do from here, I'm dying to get shaders to work on minecraft so I would really really appreciate some help.
Edit: I'm using version 1.7.10 and all my mods are for 1.7.10

I already downloaded the recommended one for 1.7.10 (1448) but I'm not sure how to switch one version of forge for the other. I'm assuming I'll have to remove the mods and delete the other forge in the versions folder then install the new one but I'm not sure? Any tips would be really appreciated I'm still kinda new at this

Make sure you are downloading a shader pack that adds those things. Most shader packs have low end versions that don't have shadows.

When I set java to use nvidia I think I forgot one of the executables because I recently went over and set every game I have to use nvidia and after I set "Java Platform SE Binary" (I think that's what it's called) to use nvidia everything started working fine I had the ultra version of SEUS and the UltraPlus version of Mr Meepz shaders installed and after doing that they worked perfectly.
Here is what it looks like now that it works!:

These are all the files I edited (not including the minecraftlauncher.exe)
And I set them to use the nvidia card by selecting "High-Performance NVIDIA Processor" instead of the Use Global Settings option like this tutorial said to.
I'm no expert when it comes to technology but I thought sharing this might be helpful to someone with a similar problem to mine! Hope it works for other people too and thanks to everyone who responded! You all helped a lot!

To fix tht u right click ur desktop go to nvdia control panel and u will see its set to auto make tht ur graphics card. Hope tht works

And I set them to use the nvidia card by selecting "High-Performance NVIDIA Processor" instead of the Use Global Settings option like this tutorial said to.
I'm no expert when it comes to technology but I thought sharing this might be helpful to someone with a similar problem to mine! Hope it works for other people too
