I have read and tried numerous suggestions but nothing seems to help.

I had to have my computer reformatted and am trying to get every thing back to the way I had it. I was playing with forge and the game set back to 1.7.10 so that I could run the Millenaire Mod.

I installed Minecraft -latest edition- ran and played the game. Every thing was fine. Installed Forge - latest version - Restarted the game. There was info on Forge being installed and I had a Mods button. I was able to set up a Forge profile. At this stage I still had not set the game back to 1.7.10 Played the game .

Restarted and this time set the game back to 1.7.10 then selected play. I was able to go into my game but there was no Mods button. Even though I was able to play with a Forge profile. I tried adding Mods but nothing showed.

I also tried loading the Millenaire Mod using its launcher. It had a tick for Minecraft but stated that Forge had not been installed.

This is so annoying when I had the game previously set up and running beautifully.

Do I need to download Forge for both the latest version and for 1.7.10.?

I remember that when I originally loaded the game I had to remove a file from the bin. I tried to fine that file but I could not even fond a Bin folder

Thank you cestislife. I downloaded the correct forge and the game is running with Mods installed.
