So, I've been playing Hexxit and I made a few pickaxes using the smeltery in the Tinkers Construct mod and everything was working fine one second and then the next it wasn't working.
Usually when you smelt something, it shows how many ingots/whatever the bottom molten ore can make. But at the bottom of mine, it says there's molten Alumite, but it's not showing how many ingots I can make with it and whenever I try to drain it or cast it into something, nothing comes out.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
(I'm using the Technic Launcher and I have Hexxit 1.0.10 installed if that makes a difference to anything.)
Hexxit was a great pack but is very old in today's standards (using minecraft 1.5.2 for the version you are playing 1.0.10) so getting any help on such an old pack might be quite hard. I do not know the direct fix why alumite is not pourable or showing with a value but if you pour out all the rest of your metals so just alumite is in there and break the controller, it should reset it.
A side note, Hexxit 3.0.0c I believe is the more current version of this pack for 1.7.10.
Is there a way to change which metal you want to pour out? I tried clicking the others and it wasn't changing so I figured that there wasn't a way to change it.
And do you know if Hexxit 3.0.0c is available on the technic launcher? And if so, do you know how to get it?
Unfortunately with no information in the form of a log, there isn't a whole lot to help ya with since it could be a billion things stopping it from loading.
Maybe search for the folder hexxit or something?
I am NOT a Mac fan so no idea how the file structures work.

You should be able to just click on the metal shown in the controller but because of this being such an old build, something might be borked.
To get the new hexxit in Technic, on the launcher click on the hexxit pack, then pick the gear on the top corner for the pack options.
Where it says which version you want, pick latest 3.0.0c.
Oh, awesome thank you so much!
I just went to go reinstall it to the 3.0.0c but before I do that, do you know if that will remove my current save file?
Most likely because you are going from minecraft 1.5.2 to 1.7.10 so there are alot of changes not only wih Minecraft but with every mod the pack has.
Darn :/
Okay, well thank you so much!
I hope this fixes the issue so I won't have to run into it later.
If you need more help, let me know!
I downloaded the 3.0.0c and it now it's not opening :/
Any idea on how to fix it?
Got a crash report of log file I can take a look at?
It didn't crash or anything, it just wouldn't open.
There should be a fml-client-latest.log in your logs folder. It will tell what's happening and why it's not opening.
Where can I find that?
Mine is located:
C:\Users\Tactical\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\hexxit
(Tactical is my personal name so yours will vary)
It's really going to depend on where you installed technic laucher.
I have a Mac, I don't know if that changes anything but I can't find it haha.
You could do a file search for .technic?
There's no files coming up except for the actual launcher.

There's nothing there :/
