i am using optifine. i haven't found any problems until today when, after a while, i started apearing as steve. switching to the profile without optifine doesn't help. what do i do?
I'm normally shown as a cat (see attachments) but am rendering as steve (see atachments. the in game image.) i reloaded skins on mc edit and it still shows a cat.
is this caused by optifine?

Don't take my word for it but I heard yesterday someone is DDOSing the minecraft servers.
I, too, am set to Steve so I'm assuming it is all related.
Check mojang.com the skin service might not be healthy

there's nothing you can do, unfortunately, that I know of. It should be fixed when they stop DDOSing the servers.
