Minecraft won't open! When I try to open the application, it indicates it's going to open (bounces on the dock) but closes right away (disappears)... I've been having this problem for a couple weeks now, I've tried to delete the App and re-install it but it does the same thing. My version of Mac (OS X Yosemite) is 10.10.3, Hopefully someone can help me out with this issue, and I've provided as much information as I can. If more information is needed, I'll gladly provide it. No crash report? Are you using mods?

No crash report, and no mods. I deleted the minecraft file in applications support & deleted the app to start fresh which still didn't work. So I have nothing in the minecraft file at the moment..
Have you ever edited your Java Runtime Parameters? (not through minecraft),
What are your specs?
Have you ran an Antivirus on your computer?
Dowloaded at the Minecraft website, never heard of the Java Runtime Parameters, have no idea what specs are and I've never run an antivirus on my computer... I just posted here to try and fix my game, I don't have a clue what half those things are.. lol

Java is what minecraft needs to run (at least on windows), so that out of the picture. Your specs is what your computer has. e.g. RAM, Operation system. ect. and if your system has never been scanned for a virus, I HIGHLY recommend doing so. Head over to AVG to get the program asap. Your system may already be infected. Furthermore, I can't help you as much as I already did.

Thank you for your help, but the free anti-virus program is windows only, and my RAM should be ok at the moment. Although I think I do remember installing some form of anti-virus. Will have to double check. But thank you.
BUT I tried the first video again, and got to the minecraft launcher! Although, it's still not working 100%. It keeps saying "loading..." on the Play button and won't able me to press it..
Thats good news! If any other issues occur, please feel free to ask for help. Also, if the launcher continues to work when such issues occur, look in the "game output" or "launcher log". It can normally be translated to decipher what the issue is. Good Luck!

I'm a mac user too, but never experienced this.
What version are you using?
Check your computer. See if there's something that could cause Minecraft to do that. (overload of saves, and general lag)

Using version 10.10.3 OS X Yosemite, and I deleted my whole minecraft folder and re-installed the app, so it couldn't be lag.
BUT I tried the first video again, and got to the minecraft launcher! Although, it's still not working 100%. It keeps saying "loading..." on the Play button and won't able me to press it..
