Hello, I've been having a problem in Minecraft with lag. Basically I have no problems with the default texture pack, but when I use any texture pack where the swords are over 16x then I lag really bad when playing on pvp servers. I lag most when I get near players, so I understand that my computer probably just can't run resource packs with high resolution, but this is a custom gaming pc and it should be able to run it no problem. I will list my specs below:
CPU: Intel i7 4820k 3.7 ghz
GPU: Evga GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked edition
Motherboard: MSI X79A-GD45 Plus LGA 2011
RAM: G.SKILL TridentX Series 16GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5"
PSU: CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W
So as you can see, I should be able to run a simple 128x128 texture pack no problem. On my old computer I was able to without any lag, and everything in it was worse. If you have any suggestions to fix this then please leave a comment (I'm already using optifine). Thanks
(also, please no suggestions like "use a lower quality resource pack", if no other methods work then I will have to do that )

How much ram have you allocated to minecraft? Which GPU is default?
Do not mind the crazy person sitting in this corner here. Pay more attention to the one behind you with a knife.
Thanks for the reply, I have 4 GB of ram allocated to minecraft and my 970 is default. http://prntscr.com/7wq0m8
