My kids play minecraft pocket edition on an iPad and old iPhone and have no problem connecting to play multiplayer in the same world. I just dowloaded Minecraft for my Macbook Pro, and when I select multiplayer, and it scans for games in my LAN, it doesn't find any.
How do I connect in multiplayer, with games being played on the iPad and iPhone Minecraft pocket additions?
I'm sure its simple, but any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Moderatorthe versions on the ipads can't connect with the version on your mac, they are essentially different games.
pc/mac/linux can all cross connect
console and mobile versions can only connect with same type of device (all mobiles and kindles can connect together)
