So basically, this has been an on going problem for me for about the last year. I've tried fixing it a few times over that time period, but I didn't use my laptop often since I'd just gotten a new PC, so I kind of just gave up on it. Now, I've started using my laptop more often, and need some help. Basically, I start up Minecraft, and join a game whether that be multiplayer or single player. Everything works fine, but as soon as I start moving (walking, running, flying, whatever) the game completely freezes, and I have to go on task manager to close it. I've updated java and put all my settings to the lowest they can go, and it is still freezing.
Turn down your render distance, this can cause a crash if you do not have enough ram to load the chunks. Turn it to "tiny" aka low, that should fix the issue, if not, try to allocate more ram.
