I'm playing MC 1.8 with only Forge, Optifine, Xaero's Minimap, and Inventory Tweaks installed - all up to date. I also have the Soartex Fanver resource pack. Whenever I play for more than a few minutes, the world will randomly start flashing in and out. After a while, they will stop flashing and large parts of the world will just be invisible.
Eventually it gets unplayable, and I have to restart the entire program and start the process all over again. It's extremely annoying, and happens on both computers that I play the game on (same mods and stuff). They are both Windows 8.1 Intel Celeron CPU 1007U. My main one has 3.88 GB available out of 4. I hope some of that can help you, and please respond soon! Thank you!
This sounds somewhat like a graphics card issue. Have you tried updating the drivers for the GPU?

Unfortunately I'm not terrific with technology so I don't know how to do that (or what that even means, frankly). I'll look it up though, thanks!

Moderatortry going to minecrafts video settings, and putting mipmaps to off.
If that doesn't work, post a dxdiag log (how to in my sig) and we can check your drivers and link you updated ones if needed
