Okay first I don't know where this thread should go so I'm just putting it here. But anyways I got this mod: "http://flansmod.com/content-pack/274/152WIPComing_Soon_Nerf_Pack_Professional?tag=nerf" and I'm trying to convert it to 1.5.2 to 1.7.10! But is that even possible, and if so how? I just got the programs that people use to mod but I don't know how to open the mod I made a new folder called "Nerf Mod" and put everything from "Nerf Pack expanded v3.2.zip" into it. And then I put everything from "forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1481-1.7.10-src.zip" into "Nerf Mod." But when I open eclipse and try to open Minecraft it says ('Open Project' has encountered a problem. The project description file (.project) for 'Minecraft' is missing. This file contains important information about the project. The project will not function properly until this file is restored) HELP ME!!!!
Technically, javascript and this java are different.
OT: But yes, you need to know decent java. In my understanding, you are updating lots of code, especially when this mod was before 1.6.
It is not impossible, it depends highly on how much effort you're willing to put into this. Just like it has been said before, you need to know Java. It is EXTREMELY important that you know a fair bit of it before you go and try to update a mod, two full gave versions! Again, it isn't at all impossible, and maybe even easy for someone experienced, but it takes dedication and commitment. Don't give up, this website can help you out with any problems at all that you're having. Don't see this as something that will put a strain on your life, but more as a challenge as to learning Java! Hope it works out well and happy modding!

Sorry, it is impossible to update a mod from 1.5.2 to 1.7.10 without knowledge of java.
