I recently got a new laptop and installed minecraft. We all know that vanilla by itself for 2 years gets boring really quick, especially in single player, so I downloaded a bunch of mods (64 to be precise, because it just seems like a very good number, let's be honest here). I did expect it to crash on the first time because of mods conflicting as usual, but what i did not expect is this message when i loaded the game:
Forge Mod Loader has found a problem with your minecraft installation
The mods and versions listed below could not be found
CodeChickenCore : minimum version required is 1.0.3
The file 'logs/fml-client-latest.log' contains more information
Obviously I do have the mod required and version 1.0.7 of it, no other code chicken core files in the mod folder. trying to remove any chicken-related files, I get the same error saying that OpenMods is missing instead. This is what the file mentioned above contains (extremely long and boring stuff, in fact too long to post in here, this is why you are seeing a mediafire link below):
It's not my first time playing minecraft or installing mods, but it is the first time that this happens to me. There are a few other mods that I did install but still don't load, such as the ResonantEngine and the openmods lib. So why is that happening? Can someone explain and tell me how to fix it? I tried replacing it with the "dev" version instead of the universal one, but no luck...
I am using the default launcher with forge mod loader installed.
System specs (You probably don't even need those):
LENOVO Y50-70 Laptop
OS: Windows 8.1 x64
CPU: Intel Core i7 4th Generation
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 860 M
Ram: 16 GB
Storage Type: SSHD
Storage Size: ~ 1 TB (775 GB of Free Space)
Java: the latest JRE x64 and JDK are obviously installed.
Here is a rar file download link (mediafire) containing the "mods" folder that is in my ".minecraft" folder (143.26 MB, which gives you an idea of how much time I may have wasted, and how much time you might as well downloading this rar):
If you need some other files to now what is going on, tell me and I will post them here (Of course I am not a noob and know quite a lot of programming, so don't think you're gonna get my "usercache.json" file for obvious reasons...)
Please don't fill the comments with useless info/ads, and do not post your own problems here until mine is solved.
Respond as quickly as possible, I am bored to death without mods. Thanks in advance! :-)
Btw, does anyone have tools that helps with debugging and fixing such things? If so, please post them below! Thanks again!
You have renamed CCC file to a zip. Other mods can't recognize it. DO NOT rename mod files. Especially file extensions.
That is not the only renamed file.
You also have a bunch of outdated mods.
I did not rename anything. I downloaded it directly from chickenbones.net (which is the official website) and drag and dropped it into the mods folder. I feel like something else is wrong, but if not, tell me what to rename it to then.
Btw can you list the outdated mods so I can update them? I would save me a lot of time, but if you can't / don't want to, I totally understand...
Check every mod and update it. I see some stuff from December, or even older.
And apparently you have one of those paranoid "security oriented" browsers and it's set to download everything automaticaly to a default location. Reconfigure it because that browser will automatically rename some files.
Take a look at all of ChickenBone's mods you have and compare the filenames with the ones on his page. Every single one has its file extension changed to zip. And not only ChickenBone's mods, about half of your files are renamed.
Pretty much every mod now has to be a jar file.
Oh... I do have EagleGet as my download manager, that may be causing it... Renaming them to jars really did fix it, i thought for some reason that the ones on his page are zips by default... But of course I now get a message saying that this is missing: OpenMods [0.7,0.8)... I tried renaming openperipherals to a jar because openmodslib already is one, but zero luck on that one... I know I may be annoying you a bit but you seem like someone who likes to help people, since you have 14K posts (or you may just be spamming the forums XD)...
I'll go ahead and try to download the newer versions of these mods, I think that may be happening because I downloaded them as automatic installers from skydaz.com... Not always the best idea apparently...
As for OpenModsLib, the latest version is 0.7.3. So if something asks for 0.7.0 ....
EDIT:
Looking at the log you still have an ancient OpenModsLib 0.6.0 beta snapshot build.
Well that was easy, Idk why I didn't notice that from the beginning... Anyways, I had to update openmodslib, openbocks and opencomputers to the latest versions, install applecore, nether ores (cuz why not?) and mantle, but of course, I get a new error that I don't even know how to deal with...
I updated my mods folder downlod (if you don't need that to debug stuff, tell me because it will save me precious time and internet data (for your info, I used 56 GB in the past 3 days lol)), but oddly enough the logs file mentioned in the error doesn't exist on my computer so I included the new fml-client-latest.log hoping that it would help you somehow, and here is the new error as an image:
Sorry but I'm not good at debugging stuff that is not mine, especially when the logs are 2,000 something lines (I'm used to crash reports from visual studio that are a max of 20 lines long)... My original idea was I would make it run and the chat would tell me about updates (as most new mods do) so that I can manually fix those, but it failed miserably... HEALP!!!
Okay then... Time for some more log diving dude... BECAUSE MORE ERRORS!!! YAAAAYYYY!!! :DDDDDD... Whatever... Minecraft crashes every time I run it... I updated most of the mods (please tell me if any are outdated) and installed a few new ones (without skydaz this time, and made them jars again) and some Flan's mod plugins (which by the instructions had to be zips, so I made it be that way)... Here's the new error I'm getting: http://www.mediafire.com/view/h9rjdyb34x8pl5h/crash%20report%20.txt
You've helped me quite a lot and taught me a few useful facts, but MOARE HULPZ NEEDUD!!!!
EDIT: removing buildcraft gives me almost the exact same error as the one below, but I kinda want to keep it, and even then I need to deal with below (and I also installed minechem as well):

So far it seems like I sort of fixed it, but not really. Resonant engine has universal electricity included in it, so after removing the universal electricity jar that I manually installed, the main menu now loads fine, but when I create a new world, I get this:

Help plz? Anyone?
EDIT: 30 seconds later, i decide to remove minechem and it works, for 30 seconds. The world loads and barely allows me to access my inventory, laggs like crazy, 20 secs later tells me that i got an achievement, after that laggs a bit more, crashes and displays no message... I'll investimigationate a bit more, brb
EDIT #2: I ran out of ideas again... i relaunched it, didn't crash this time but laggs to 1 frame every 5 seconds... WTF?
Seriously. Make sure every single mod is up to date.
Or are you swapping them one-by-one and coming here with new reports each time?
I updated every single mod I could find an upated version of... Well now it works but even on my lenovo y50 pc I get 1 frame every 5 - 10 seconds... what can I do about that?
We discussed this with grimallq over messages, and I figured it out, the nvidia settings were not to blame. All I had to do is uninstall 9 mods that I think were unneccessary, installed fastcraft and allocated 2 GB of memory for minecraft. Now runs at ~60 FPS, or more... Problems solved!

Curse PremiumFor the crash report you posted, it's caused by (still) outdated mods.
And if you get any new crashes posting the new crash reports would help
