Ha! This is a hand-me-down computer from my parents so it's highly likely it is old enough to be a PITA. How do I get back to version 1.7.2?
My current computer knowledge is extremely limited. I actually learned to program in basic and rudimentary html during the late '80s early '90s as a young teen, but then proceeded to marry an IT guy and let him handle that realm while my education went towards the social sciences. Unfortunately he is unavailable this weekend and that leaves me floundering like some pitiful stereotype. My mom, who began work as a mainframe programmer in the '60s, would be ashamed.

No problem; when you start the Minecraft launcher on the bottom left you can edit your profile. From there you can just choose the 1.7.2 version from the drop down. It is the area that says use latest version in the image below.

Ha! This is a hand-me-down computer from my parents so it's highly likely it is old enough to be a PITA. How do I get back to version 1.7.2?
My current computer knowledge is extremely limited. I actually learned to program in basic and rudimentary html during the late '80s early '90s as a young teen, but then proceeded to marry an IT guy and let him handle that realm while my education went towards the social sciences. Unfortunately he is unavailable this weekend and that leaves me floundering like some pitiful stereotype. My mom, who began work as a mainframe programmer in the '60s, would be ashamed.

No problem; when you start the Minecraft launcher on the bottom left you can edit your profile. From there you can just choose the 1.7.2 version from the drop down. It is the area that says use latest version in the image below.
