When I go into LAN, Multiplayer, or even just playing by myself, my chat doesn't work. I went to options>chat settings>chat on and it STILL didn't work. Pleeeeaaase, can anyone help me? I really, really, really want my chat to work. Am I the only one who is having this problem? Keep in mind that I have the latest version and no mods or texture packs (not yet, at least).

When you say "it doesn't work", what do you mean? Does it not show up, or can you see it but not talk?
I can talk but I can't see anything. Not even what I say. NOT EVEN COMMANDS, and that's a huge issue for me.

did you maybe set opacity to 0 , making it transparent, or scale to 0 , making it 0 in size?

Turn Chat to: Shown.
Make Sure Your focused and Unfocused heights and widths are above 0px.
Make sure you scale is about 100%.
Make Sure your opacity is about 100%.
Make Sure you are not in F1 mode... (thats not the problem by the sound of it... but whatever)
And finally if you have any mods make sure they are causing no interference.

Are you having any other graphical glitches?
LIFE IS MORE THAN SURVIVAL! There is also Creative, Hardcore, and Adventure.
have you been changing GUI Scale purhaps (Options -> Video Settings)?
