Im used to getting max fps on my aleinware, but when I leave my house I have to use my laptop. On my laptop, I run 4 fps with render distance at 2, all the lowest settings and optifine installed. Is their anything I can do to speed up the game so its actually playable on my laptop?

The laptop is too slow to get anything notably better. If you use 1.7.10, you could try fastcraft. For 1.8 you could try optifine, but honestly it won't help much.
Your ram is way to low. It would just be better to buy a new laptop than try and fix it.i would get like 6GB to have good fps.
I was thinking that, but the thing is, I rarely use my laptop, because I have my computer, but when I do leave the house for things like vacations, its a crappy time playing minecraft. Im not sure If I want to buy a whole new laptop just for that... I mean I can always play Minecraft Pocket Edition... right?
Pocket Edition shouldn't be called a replacement for minecraft pc for on the go play. To me it is more of an introduction into minecraft. It shouldn't be too expensive.

That wont work, because a 32-bit operating system only supports up to 4 GB of ram. Also more ram =/= more fps.
Well you should also add that adding ram to a store bought laptop the way he said won't work. Most store bought laptops are made to be as slim as possible so adding ram would be almost impossible.
