Before I did the update that came up last night my minecraft was working fine but after I did when I sign into my world it exits me out 4-5 minutes later then it says exiting the game then it just sits there plz help me
Back up your world(s) (any and all that you care to keep) somewhere safe and also back up your texture packs if you have any. Then completely remove Minecraft (deleting the .minecraft folder (find it by opening run [Win+R, then typing %appdata%])) and running the Minecraft executable again, followed by restoring your worlds and texture packs.
Also let us know if you're using mods of any kind. Since you stated you updated I doubt you are using mods.

I'm going to assume they meant that they were sitting on a previous version or hadn't played the game in awhile and just now got to updating to 1.8.7. Otherwise you're right.
