(I have 4 gigs of ram)
It's literally the exact same as any previous versions.

The videos i watched the line of code was super small like xms-2809m fo example and that was it

That's how you do it for all other versions, it's a JVM argument, those don't change between Minecraft arguments. The same "-Xmx2G" will work for 1.7.10 just as it does for 1.8 and 1.6.4.
