Hello, I was just playing Minecraft on my laptop, when the battery fell out. My computer restarted when I went back on to minecraft all the servers that I had on my list were gone. I have several small servers that I will no be able to find again. Please Help!
Your servers.dat file was lost/corrupted. It's happened to me in the past. I'm not technical enough to know how to recover the file, but here is my strategy:
Best advice I can give you is (If you found the servers via internet forum) search for usernames you remember from the server, and try to get an email/youtube/skype from websearching, or send them a PM on whatever forum you found them on asking for the server IP.
I had the same thing happen to me and ^ is what solved it.
this MIGHT help. with 1.8 i've had my server list randomly disappear and this fixed it. go into your .minecraft folder, look for servers.dat.tmp if you find that file, remove the .tmp at the end of it (if windows asks you to confirm click yes), then start minecraft and see if your server list is back. it might not work because of what happened with your laptop but it's worth a shot.

There's not really a way to help.

Cheers, sorry this happened.

Please let me know what you think of my modpack as it's my first one.
This isn't the situation that happened to me, but it totally seems possible.
I have not had this happen to me, but it seems like a totally plausisble (and better) alternate solution.
None of these worked... but thanks anyways
