So I want to play Minecraft with 32 chunks, but it's not working out too well.
In single-player everything just breaks. My FPS goes down quite a bit, the chunks start loading in VERY slowly, and some chunks just don't load. Sometimes I start falling into the void, it's just completely broken.

In Multiplayer I can't even see past 10 chunks.
My specs:
i5-4670k @ 4.0 GHz
EVGA GTX 760 SC 2GB
2TB 7200 RPM HDD
8GB of RAM
I may have something to do with the amount of RAM you have, as I have an i7-3770, EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC 2GB, and 12GB of RAM and I get 500-600 FPS maxed out.

Maybe, or Minecraft is greedy and wants 4 cores and 8 threads -.-

It was a RAM issue XD
I upped the RAM for Minecraft to 4GB and now 32 chunks works perfectly fine (minus the random frame spikes, could probably fix it by adding more RAM to my system in general)

Usual server set-up is using default 10 chunks viewing distance, that explaind it quite acurate why you cant see it pass that in multiplayer.
As for issues you have in singleplayer, just reduce rendering distance to 10, and you will notice significant improovement in performance.
