Most of the info you'd request is visible in the included image apart from that i'm running windows 8.1.
Anyway, recently I decided to try turning the render distance from 24 chunks to 32. The chunks that were already loaded before the switch behaved correctly, but the rest were behaving in a way I can't think of how to describe. After enjoying the sight, i tried walking through the afflicted area and found out the chunks were there loaded correctly, just not rendered. I tried this on several settings and found if I went above 24, it still occurred. I tried restarting the game, but the problem returned. This isn't too important to fix, 24 is plenty for me, but this kind of thing fully triggers my curiosity

This is because your graphics drivers are outdated.
Try updating them from the official driver site, do not use Windows updates.
