So we are running (or at least trying to) minecraft 1.8.7 on a lenovo T61 laptop running windows 7. Everything was working and then after a short break (a few weeks) my son tried to play again and we get the "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". The only ones you should be trying are the official Intels ones, and they are bugged on that GPU with minecraft, its an Intel bug, the only way around it is to get a new GPU if you have a desktop computer

Your GPU has broken drivers, because of this you cant play minecraft 1.7.4 or newer.
I have tried installing every graphics driver I can find.... do you know of a source or a specific driver that will solve my problem?

ModeratorThe only ones you should be trying are the official Intels ones, and they are bugged on that GPU with minecraft, its an Intel bug, the only way around it is to get a new GPU if you have a desktop computer
Why did this just start..... I am not aware of an update prior to the problem.
