Hi [obligatory statement that I'm new to this and realise my questions may be answered somewhere else, but I have searched as well as spent last 2 hours troubleshooting]
Basically, I'm running the Fossils and Archeology Revival mod (7.2.1) and when my world opens up most of the textures (especially those not from the mod) aren't loading properly. There seems to be about three versions of this issue: coming up as lines/invisible, blank/single coloured squares, and coloured squares with questions marks/other symbols. I have restarted my computer, and reinstalled the Minecraft files (as well as the mod files and Forge).
The system I'm using is OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), with Minecraft Forge 10.13.4.1481 for 7.10, and Fossils and Archeology Revival 7.2.1. Frustratingly, I had it working for about five minutes before I restarted and since then weird textures.
When I'm not using forge/the mod, textures load fine, if a little slow.
UPDATE: I have tried running several other 7.10 intended mods and still receive the same error - textures aren't loading correctly or at all. I have run Forge without any mods and the world continues to load incorrectly. I have tried using the latest update of Forge but this doesn't work with the mods I want. I suppose the issue then is that Forge is incorrectly installed. As far as I know, I followed the necessary instructions (downloaded the most up-to-date version of Forge intended for 7.10 and installed the client).
In the interests of tests, I installed and ran a 1.8 version of Forge and that had only a few missing textures.
