It sudgests that you have Intel graphic card, some old intel graphic card have issues with driver not updated to support OpenGL that Minecraft requires, or simply too old for newer versions of minecraft to run.
If you provide us with DXDiag informations, and/or details on graphic chip, we could probbably sudgest you if it is even possible to resolve issue.

Graphic card is hardware componenet of your computer, not every computer can have that changed, for example laptops, they have graphic chip soldered on Motherboard, or integrated within Chipset (bunch of electronic components and chips). Some of Desktop computers also have it integrated, but may have a slot on Motherboard called PCI-e slot, designed to put Graphic cards, that you can buy in computer hardware stores, into it. What exactly do you have is not quite a mistery even for a noob, just needs a common sense to say if it is laptop, or desktop computer.
To have some informations on your graphic system, you could open command line and run dxdiag tool, it comes with directX instalation, you should already have that i trust. how to do so is very easy to find by typing "dxdiag how to run" in google search, and first link will give you instructions.
DXDiag report oftenly gives informations by consulting drivers installed for your graphic card/chip, and may not give all informations, but will provide some informations. If it doesnt provide enough informations there are a lots of tools that you can download and run to get more extencive informations with it, providing that some tools like GPU-Z access hardware directly to get informations.

Anyways, Driver for that graphic (integrated in chipset) is no longer being updated so you may need to buy Graphic card and put it inside computer, unless someone comes up with driver that will patch the problem with OpenGL that MC needs.
For ne graphic card, you may need to have a person that is skilled with hardware, not to fry your machine.

Okay, but there is one problem: I am a complete noob with all the coding big boy words and what not, so you need to tell me these things:
How do I find my graphic chip info?
What is DXDiag, and how do I find that info?
How do I get a new graphics card? Download or purchase?

im too lazy to show the rest, so I REALLY hope thats all that's nessecary
Good enough.
