So for the last day and a half I have not been able to play Minecraft. I would open up Minecraft like I normally would and it would come to a tab that says Downloading Launcher. Like 5 second later a second tab went up it says Unable to update Minecraft Game Launcher. This is frustrating. Can anyone please help?

here is an easy fix for that.
Step 1. Copy and paste your .minecraft into your desktop then delete the orignal.
Step 3 get the new launcher from minecraft.net
Step 4 Install it
Step 5 Delete the .minecraft the installation of the new launcher made and replace it with your old .minecraft.
