Playing ATLauncher Joe Gaming Mod pack on my friend's server and getting a constant 0-6 FPS (I get lucky every 10 minutes or so with 20-30FPS. It only lasts for half a minute or so befre going back to 0)
Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz
x64 Bit
4GB of RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate
Dell Laptop
NVIDIA Quad NVS 160M Display Adapter
I also have all settings to low (Including Optifine options) and SimpleCraft Texture Pack
Help would be amazing. I am loosing my freakin' mind.
There's only one way to say this, so im just gonna say it... Your computer is not near good enough to run Minecraft or any other games at a good framerate. That processor is from 2008.
Hmm, ok.... well at this point all I can say is to verify that you have the latest version of java 8 for 64 bit... btw i play mostly rs3 but from time to time 07
I've heard that too, but personally ive never had any problems with java 8. Sorry, I have no idea what to tell you, other that the fact that your computer is very weak for things like minecraft. Minecraft is much more processor intensive than the other games you mentioned for some reason.
Depends ON the laptop, I have a friend with several gaming laptops which run for around 1300$ on amazon and he runs over 500+ fps even with mods installed, so it just depends on the hardware installed on the computer.
what iv noticed is laptop dont work with alot of games and if you start to mod the games on a laptop you wont get much fps
Depends on the computer, game, mods installed, amount of mods installed, developers, programs you have open, environment around, and many other factors. Mainly computer, game, mods installed, amount and developer (for both game and mods).
In all seriousness, that is one hugely incorrect and false statement. Games will not lag if you mod them on a laptop... simply for the sake of it being a laptop. There's a loooooot of factors that go into it. I run a mid-end business-grade laptop which cost $800AU (~$600US) and Minecraft with 260+ mods runs fine at 50-60 FPS, Skyrim at fairly high settings with about 90-100 mods (3 post-processing injectors: ENB series (for ENBoost), SweetFX and GemFX) at about 40-60 FPS. Just because a computer is a laptop does not mean it will immediately lag at the occurrence of modding on games.

Thanks for all the support. I've installed Java 8 Update 45 and so far, it's better. Not 100% great, but getting a decent 15-30FPS. Rarely shooting down to 3-6. And I don't know much about computers, but could I possibly update the GPU to allow better gameplay or is that a whole seperate part of the computer? Oh, forgot. I do have Optifine and literally everything is set to as low as it can be, Frame Rate (In settings) is set to unlimited, and I'm at 2 Render Distance.

Core i5-3570k overclocked to 4.4 ghz
Cryorig H7 heatsink
Gigabyte Radeon HD 7850 2gb
ASRock Z77 Pro 4
Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4gb 1600 mhz
But thing is, I can run TF2, LoL, and Runescape fine. Sure they have to be pretty low to run, but they run well :c
RUNESCAPE OMGOMGOGMOGMGOM I STILL PLAY IT TOO anyway.... that seems odd... Does it run vanilla minecraft at a reasonable framerate?

Hmm. HAvent tried. Let me check? Also EoC or 07 RS?
No. I get 6-12 FPS on Vanilla D:

I've heard Java 8 has problems with Minecraft though. Also, yeah. RS3 seems more than 07. Mainly because in 07, all skills are reset. :c

Well let me try Java 8. That might work.

Try optifine and turning down render distance, changing to "fast" graphics and no smooth lighting.
I'm the best kind of weeb trash.
