So I admittedly know nothing about Minecraft, however I have 2 daughters who love it. We have a PC that they've been playing it on, and recently my work bought me a new laptop, to which my old laptop went to them. The reason for that was so they could play Minecraft, wherever they went. So I downloaded it, by googling Minecraft and then clicking the download link, and followed the prompts, just like I did a long time ago when I downloaded it on the PC for them.
On the PC they have two profiles. I did not get involved with the names and passwords and emails etc. My wife did all that, and said that she only has the one email address on the account, and one password, but there are two profiles on the account, one for my older daughter, and one for my younger one.
So when I downloaded it on the laptop, I entered the password and email address etc, and one of the two profiles shows up. The second one does not. How do I find this profile? Is there a setting I'm missing that needs to be done?

Profiles aren't the same as accounts. Profiles allow for easy changing between different versions of minecraft, but they don't carry over between different computers at all, neither do worlds. If your desire was to have them play together, you will need a second minecraft account.

Ok I was afraid of that. Thank you. I'll have to set that up then.
