I have a world running 1.6.4 with a bunch of mods in 1.6.4. However, I wanna update to the latest of Minecraft. I understand I can bring the world into a new version of Minecraft without mods. However, if I update both the mods and the world, will everything I built be the exact same? Any buildings I made will still be there, any items from mods that were placed will still be there, and any items I found will still be in my inventory/chests?
If so, how do I update mods? All of my mods are Forge mods. It's been a while since I did anything like this with my Minecraft game, so apologies for being dense.
Then is it possible to have the 1.6.4 version of a mod as well as the 1.7.x version? I'm so attached to the world I made in 1.6.4 but I also really want to update my Minecraft worlds and mods.
