Ok so i recently got Minecraft,so i entered servers like Mineplex,The Hive,Hypixel and so on.But many of them asked for resource packs for some of the games,and when i click install it just crashes Minecraft.I have it set to Prompt in the resource packs option in each server,because if i set it to Enabled it won't even let me into the server or the game that needs the resource packs.How can i fix this?

Edit:Reinstalling the game completely did not work sadly.

The message that appears when i set the options to Enabled:Internal Exception:java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Parameter 'directory' is not a directory
