I've tried to make a first-time purchase of the PC version of Minecraft just a night ago. Every attempt I made kept bringing up an error saying I should "verify [my] credit card info" and I haven't been able to make sense of it. I used several different credit cards, all of which have plenty of money, none of which are having any issues. I also tried connecting them to paypal, but no such luck either.
Any suggestions on what could be wrong? I tried to purchase again just now, and only received the same error. I am not sure where to head from here.

I'm not sure I am following you. I am attempting to purchase the game via Minecraft.net, not the Steam client. On Steam, however, I have used my credit card successfully about a few weeks ago during Summer Sale. However, for the Minecraft purchase on the website, I receive that error.
Additionally, I tried to add my credit card info via the Account page, but that's not working either. It rejects my card saying "Error! An error occurred when saving billing details. Please verify your billing details and try again."
I'm not sure why this is being troublesome, since all of the information I'm putting down is correct.
I need help too every time i purchase it it says an error accuroed while placing order pls help and what is a postal / zip code because maybe i entered it wrong pls reply and help

Well, I cannot purchase the second license, even with a new / separate Mojang account. I have been having the same issue since the day after Christmas. I am using a valid credit card (had me worried, actually). I know my zip code and security number. The Facebook page has a few reports of this error too. They are buried in the comments section of the current post. VISA Electron doesn't work, and buying a gift code for others is
apparently "no longer available in the US".
ForgettableTen86 - It needs to be your billing zip code - most commonly required for addresses in the United States - it is where you (or your parents) receive the credit card bill. Often not the same as your mailing address.

Never mind. I actually tried a different method that I was not familiar with (the Visa Electron method); it worked!
