I was hoping someone a bit more experienced at this could advise me on what can be done to make these mods operate a bit more stable together. Right now when I start a game it is very lagy and crashes shortly after starting. Looking in NEI's menus is a pretty sure way to crash things up but it will eventually happen either way. Normally I play FTB DIREWOLF20 pack which has many more mods than this so I'm sure it is something I'm missing that is hopefully simple. I've put the crash log here I've attached a list of the mods I'm currently running in a screenshot as well. Any help that can be provided would be much appreciated ! I'm looking to add a few more mods to this to create a modpack that my kids and I can play together
Sorry about that! Is there any way to have a mod move the post? My computer normally has between 8000 and 9000 MB free when I start minecraft (which is about 75%) With minecraft running (With all mods active) I still have 40% of my ram space open, even when it crashes. I should also point out when it crashes I'm not doing anything special, I've got the graphics turned to fast mode, very few cells displayed, just walking around. I'm guessing two or more of my mods are conflicting and fighting for resources but I could have sworn I've seen these mods in use together before.
In addition to that try using the JVM argument "-XX:MaxPermSize=256m". Either this argument, allocating more RAM to Minecraft, or both, should fix your problem.
The game only seems to crash after I access NEI, tried just running about never opening my inventory and nothing happened, if I open it up or look at the options or mod sub sets it crashes right away. Sadly this hides the % of use at the top right. I will try giving minecraft more RAM any how (maybe suddenly loading all those blocks for reference in NEI is maxing it out) Thanks for the suggestion and guide. I appreciate your help!
I removed Java and installed the most recent version as well (Ver 8 64 bit) update 45. that may have been what fixed it. Either way it runs great now : ) Thanks all

You are supposed to post threads like this here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/modded-client-support
It looks like you are having lag and crashing because Minecraft is taking a lot of RAM. How much RAM does your computer have available when idle?

When you play the game, in your Debug Screen(F3) does your memory usage ("mem" in the top right) spike up to 100% (or near it) when you lag? If so try allocating more RAM to Minecraft using this guide. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/unmodified-minecraft-client/tutorials-and-faqs/1871637-tutorial-allocate-more-memory-for-minecraft

Glad to report giving it twice as much memory fixed all the issues! Thanks so much _Kyle_1 !!
