Hey guys, I just built a new gaming PC and installed Windows 8. When I launched minecraft after installing java, my computer just restarts. My video drivers are all up to date, java seems to work but doesn't verify in browser. And I can run minecraft for about 5 minutes very well before this crashes. After a couple hours of trouble shooting I Uninstaller windows 8 and reinstalled windows 7. To my surprise it happened again so I'm starting to conclude it may be hardware related. I'll post more detailed specs when I get home but for now I have an Asus maximus hero vii, 750w psu, EVGA 980 hydro copper, 16gb g.skill ripjaws ram (ddr3), and an i7-4790k processor. I appreciate any help.

MC will push your GPU.
If it overheats your computer will shut off.
If your PSU is too small your computer will crash as well.
My GPU when I checked was running 60 celcius, my cpu was running 48 celcius. 750 watts should be enough for that hardware right?
