I started a world with 1.8.7 and would like to use MCPatcher to have these great textures Ragecraft Faithful 64x64
I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get MCPatcher to work with MultiMC.
One suggestion I read somewhere was to install it normally with the Mojang launcher, open the appdata folder and copy the modified jar into the instances mod folder... but how useful would that be since Forge is not working for 1.8.7 (and probably never will)
Is this possible to even do? I have tried replacing the version "1.8.7.jar" with the modified jar, but a vanilla/unmodified version is always downloaded.
Does anyone have at least a couple links I can follow to read on how to do this for myself?
Nevermind. I've figured out a method that gives me what I want. PM me and I'll give out the steps if you, who are reading this don't find the answer yourself.

Use Optifine and Forge, then you don't need to muck around with jar mods.
Please don't PM me asking for help, I will just redirect you to the appropriate forum, where there are others who are far more skilled than me.
This is not the signature you are looking for.

Then we run into two issues: Optifine does not have a version for 1.8.7 and Forge does not work with anything past 1.8 it seems.
How can I be sure that it's using 1.8.7 and not 1.8?
