So recently i was playing minecraft on my laptop and when i started playing all of a sudden i get a BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) and when i launched it again and started playing again 10 minutes later i get another BSoD i keep on getting them when i play minecraft, i don't know why. My other laptop that i used to use was slightly worse than the one i'm using now and it never got BSoDs when playing ANY game. My Computer Specs:
Intel Core i7-3630QM @ 2.40 GHz
GeForce GT 635M
16 GB ram
2 Drives (One 341 GB)(Other 589 GB)
64-bit Operating System
Windows 8.1

i started getting bsod when i used a ps3 controller to play the game(it did work) this sound very familiar to that. so based on my experience i would ask. are you running any new software in the background, if so try uninstalling it or stop running it like i did. if this doesn't work then sorry i haven't had any other bsod with minecraft.

I have skype open when i play minecraft would it be from that?
possibly, i'm not sure though
You CANNOT have skype open and play minecraft at the same time on win7. that is just asking for a freeze/crash.
I will survive.
