i am geeting this error since i installed the JDK (java developement kit) on my computer, making me unable to load and play any version of minecraft bellow 1.6. Yes, i alreday tried to:
-Reinstall Java
-Unstall JDK
Note that i am using the technic launcher and i am not using anything more, like the java arguments for example
You can either try removing that JVM argument or you can try downgrading Java to version 7 or lower because "8.0" means Java 8, I believe. You didn't give us much information on your system and Java environment so it's hard to help.
