So I'm trying to figure out how to install optifine into my mods folder, because this is what happens if I do it: "Yeah optifine and forge!" *minecraft loads up halfway* *crashes* *java coding stuff* "WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!?!"

Well apparently it only works with optifine light.
So far this is what I have seen: It can only run with optifine light and it crashes my game whenever I play with other mods.
