I just downloaded MC on this laptop and was trying to change the resolution to fit my monitor. Unfortunately, changing the setting in the launch profile only changes the size of the window, but not the game resolution itself. Can someone please help me figure this out? I thank you for your time.
My GUI is set to Large and I am having the same issue. Setting it to AUTO does no good either.
My screen resolution is 1600 X 900.
I am using 64-bit Java Vers8 Update45.
As you can see, The letters on the sign are almost completely unreadable despite standing right in front of it. The Numbers of the items AND the items themselves in the menu are super small as well. I have also tried changing the screen resolution of my computer.
I have searched for answers for this before to no avail. Nothing seems to solve this.
I must be missing something - but I no idea what its is...
No Go Guys. F11 just switches from window mode to full screen, and setting the resolution for the game in optifine doesn't change the resolution either. I'm still left with a giant screen. See screen shots of my settings and what it looks like on my screen.
just to summarize this, are you seeking to increase or decrease resolution of the game itself? i figured out that you dont want to change size of the window, but i am uncertan what you are trying to acomplish with resolution change?
Also i checked your screenshots very carefully and i see no problem with game.

Well if you get/download Optifine it lets you change the in-game resolution...

it has Configurable fullscreen resolution
Once the game starts up, and you are at the title screen, simply hit F11. Hit F11 to toggle back to windowed if needed.
In game, there is also a setting in 'Video Options', that one can vary based on version, mods installed, etc.
