A few months ago I have been experiencing fps drops in minecraft. When I first load up the game I am getting 200+ fps, then after about 30 mins, my fps drops to below 30. Does anybody know ANYTHING I can do to fix this?
Sorry i will try to be more descriptive. I am running NO mods at all. I have tried optifine but it does not work it actually lowers my fps. I play on a multiplayer server, on multiplayer i usually get 30 and below, on single player i usually get 45 or so and below. I am running version 1.8.6. I am running on low to medium settings like I always have been just a few onths ago i started to have fps drop. Anything else you want me to clear up feel free to ask I know I am really vague with everything I say. Sowwy
Are you saying that when you first load the game it shows 200 fps then drops? This is rather normal if that's the case. Also if you have a 64 bit OS install 64 bit java if you haven't. I just did that myself and it gave me a huge FPS boost. I was running 60 - 70 FPS with 32 bit and now 80 - 100 and that's with a 1.4 Ghz APU so you have about 3 times the power of mine. I also use optifine. I'm not sure why you had difficulty with it but I doubt that it lowered your FPS on it's own there would have to have been other reasons. What's your Skype? It would be easier to hep you in real time.

Yes! I fixed the issue, thanks Hidiety! I all needed was to install 64 bit Java! It makes so much of a difference! Thx!
