So, I've been trying to run Forge to get a couple mods going and they require that you delete META-INF in Minecraft.jar.
I created a backup as suggested of both .minecraft and Minecraft.jar, and I deleted META-INF. I double clicked Minecraft.jar, and the Bootstrap Launcher didn't even launch. I went to my other file of Minecraft.jar and tried to run Forge 1.8, but it wouldn't pick up my mods.
I have tried several times and I really don't wanna play Vanilla. What do?

Moderatoryou don't remove the mefa-inf folder any more, infact you havn't had to do that since 1.6
just run the forge installer and it does it all for you
Oh. Okay.
Obviously, I'm new to Minecraft. Thanks for your support!
