Hello again... (I hope I'm posting this in the right place)
I am trying to install MultiMC. When it searched for a java version it told me that 'No versions are currently available.' I do in fact have java, I even went to the java website to verify this...
The old school dos command window. Where you can actually type in text commands. Yes it still exists.
If you type in that command I mentioned earlier it willl tell you which Java version is set up as OS default. Or throw an error if you don't have Java properly installed on your PC.
No, new Minecraft launcher's/Curse client's own Java is not a proper Java installation.
Okay this is what I get:
java version "1.8.0_45"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_45-b15)
Java HotSpot(Tm) Client UM (build 25.45-b02, mixed mode, sharing)
Hello again... (I hope I'm posting this in the right place)

Anyone know why I'm having this problem?
I have windows 8.1
and what do you mean by the command prompt?
Okay this is what I get:
java version "1.8.0_45"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_45-b15)
Java HotSpot(Tm) Client UM (build 25.45-b02, mixed mode, sharing)
Yes, MultiMC is extracted.
I've already tried auto-detecting java, that's when I get the message 'No versions are currently available.'
Anyone?
